Prize of Human Rights Martine Anstett - 2021 Prize

2021 Martine Anstett Prize
Marie Christina Kolo, winner of 2021 Martine Anstett Prize

This activist is a climate activist, an ecofeminist and a social entrepreneur. She founded Green N Kool in Madagascar, which is committed to creating income-generating activities around recycling and green jobs for the most vulnerable.
It is a social and solidarity enterprise, where about thirty people are active, and whose field of action is very vast: manufacturing of furniture, recycled objects, ecological soaps based on used food oils, urban and rural space development, including waste management. The profits allow Marie Christina to finance social projects, including a cultural center and a green elementary school in her mother's village, Nosy Be, located more than 600 kilometers north of the capital.
